About the Role
A leading power solutions provider is seeking an experienced UPS Engineer to join their team. This field-based role will cover a large area across the UK, with regular travel across Europe for installations, servicing, and maintenance of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and associated power equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of UPS systems and related power equipment.
- Fault-finding, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs on-site.
- Conducting preventative maintenance and responding to emergency callouts as required.
- Providing technical support and ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards.
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a UPS Engineer / Power Systems Engineer / Electrical Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of single-phase & three-phase UPS systems.
- Ability to carry out diagnostics, fault-finding, and repair work.
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport for travel across Europe.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work away from home and travel frequently.
